1988 Rover 216 Vanden Plas EFi
History:
Purchased new by Mrs Sylvia Cathleen Bell of Bells Stores and Post Office, Cannock on 1st August 1988 from the local Austin Rover dealer, Charles Clark of Cannock. Mrs Bell used the car for just two years covering a mere 3,434 miles before taking it off the road in July 1990. It was parked in a warm dry garage and covered in soft blankets to protect the paintwork and remained there for 21 years until October 2011.
Re-commissioned in late 2011/ early 2012, the second owner replaced both rear wheel brake cylinders, the rear exhaust section, battery, thermostat, wiper blades, timing and fan belts.
Now with its third owner and residing in Limehouse, East London, Hyacinth has been professionally treated with Waxoyl and Dinitrol, had some minor paintwork repairs, a replacement headlining in original material, new tyres, new brake master cylinder and is meticulously maintained and serviced, covering less than 1,000 miles each year.
